Welcome to the Care & Comfort Romania website. Please help us to build and equip a nursing home with integrated day nursery in Bran, Romania.
We desperately need funds to enable us to finish the construction.
If we can raise £25,000 to finish the external structure we can be assured of European funding to complete the interior.
If you would like to donate money to help us finish our project, please go to the contact page. Care & Comfort Romania are working in partnership with the Diana Foundation in Romania. Ioana Matthews - President, and John Matthews Honorary President of the Diana Foundation, work tirelessly to help the sick, those with special needs, old, poor and children in an effort to improve their lives by gaining support from the local community and overseas.
In addition John Matthews is the site manager for our nursing home in Bran, Romania. We need a presence on site in Romania as their laws are very complicated, and permits are needed for construction, water etc.
In June last year Ros Ward visited the site where the basement had recently been completed. Almost 2,000 tonnes of concrete, 14.2 tonnes of steel, and timber to the value of £7,500 was required to complete the working basement. Access is possible into the rooms of the basement, which include a preparation kitchen, storage rooms, laundry, earthquake shelter and offices. © 2003 Care & Comfort Romania
